Audio Recordings

Here you will find a selection of audio recordings to help you return, reflect and re-emerge.

Getting lost in thoughts, feelings and sensations can re-enforce our egocentric or separate self stance in the world. Returning to our natural state of pure, eternal being can provide a firm foundation from which we can reflect and allow that foundation to support us through the flow of life as we re-emerge to move more skillfully through the world of the relative, with the wisdom of the heart of presence: our natural state of pure being.

Re-emerging

I am - By John Clare

‘I Am’ is a poem written by John Clare in late 1844 or 1845 and published in 1848. It was composed when Clare was in the Northampton General Lunatic Asylum (commonly Northampton County Asylum, and later renamed St Andrew’s Hospital), isolated by his mental illness from his family and friends. This reading, coupled with the re-imagined version of the poem shows how, with a shift in perception, one can re-emerge from the darkness of separation to the joy of wholeness once more.

I am - Re-Imagined by Mike Jenkins ~ 2014

John Clare’s famous poem ‘I Am’ speaks of isolation and loneliness and with it a strong longing to return to a simpler time of being free in the world. This re-imagining of the poem takes some of the original perspectives from John Clare and expresses them in a new light – a sense of being-ness and existing in the world where such experiences of isolation and loneliness are embraced along with the joys AND sorrows of life.
