So very happy to see my friend Fiona Robertson has written a new book: The Dark Night of the Soul: A Journey from Absence to Presence. Fiona and I met via my blog (which at the time was called Nothing Saying This) and eventually met in Leicester when I spoke about my experiences of awakening as a collapse… the event was organised by our friend Nic Higham. Fiona very kindly put me up that weekend and I remember thinking how strange it was to have travelled to meet someone I barely knew but who, on a much deeper level, I knew by heart.

As I travelled back home after the weekend, I knew instinctively that my journey through the dark night would continue for some time.. and it did! For many months, Fiona and I met on Skype as I began exploring self inquiry and the method developed by Scott Kiloby (who was also so supportive to me at that time). Nic and I met regularly too, all of us exploring this new terrain, walking each other home.

Wishing you so much success with the book Fiona. I’m so looking forward to reading it. So much will be relevant to my own journey, I’m certain of that.

If this book (and others like it) can help even just one person to benefit from the opportunity of crisis and the dark night in the way I have, a great service will have been done.
